2023 Prom

On Thursday 5th January the senior prom was held in the “Stara Cynkownia” restaurant in Czechowice-Dziedzice. It was a great opportunity for graduating students to dress up, dance and celebrate with classmates.

Graduate’s Day

On 5th January the Graduate’s Day was organised in our school for the first time since before the pandemic. Graduating seniors dressed up in colourful costumes took part in various games and danced a polonaise  down the school hall.

Metro 2.0 the musical

On the last day before Christmas break, a unique Nativity play in the form of a musical was staged in the school common room. The play was set on a train platform, where we could meet the contemporary St. Mary, a woman separated from her family and homeland and deprived of any support. Thankfully, caring Joseph happened to be there, too to offer his help.
Many talented students of our school took part in the play and gave an amazing performance. The musical was supervised and directed by Ms Natalia Nowosad. Great job guys!

1d2 and 1d3 in Cracow

On 20th December, a snowy wintery day, classes 1d2 and 1d3 had a great time on a school trip in Cracow.
The students had an opportunity to see the Stary Theatre backstage during a workshop led by professional actors and visit MICET (Interactive Museum and Theatre Education Centre) to learn what it takes to put on a play. A visit to the National Art Gallery at the Cloth Hall (Sukiennice) followed. In the evening the group saw the play “Chory z urojenia” at the Słowacki Theatre and visited the Christmas fair at the Main Square. All came back home quite exhausted but full of wonderful memories and rich in new experiences. Teachers Anna Łęszczak, Agnieszka Pyrsch, Agata Nycz and Joanna Szweda took care of the students during the trip.

Santa Claus  is coming to Kruczek

On 6th December Santa Claus together with his colourful suite visited all the students and teachers who were rewarded with a sweet prize for singing a Christmas song 🙂

‘Discover Poland’ trip to Warsaw

Form 30th November to 2nd December a group of students together with teachers: Mrs. Iwona Lapaj, Mrs. Anita Bartosz and Mrs. Iwona Wrzos-Stefan visited Warsaw. The trip was organised within the ‘Discover Poland’ programme and an endowment from the local City Hall. In Warsaw the group took a walk around the Old Town. They also visited the Wilanów palace with its beautiful gardens, the Museum of Pope Jan Paweł II and Stefan Wyszyński and the Copernicus Science Centre. The students took part in an interesting virtual dissection in the History of Medicine and Pharmacy Museum and learned about the history of the World War II in the Warsaw Uprising Museum.

‘Discover Poland’ trip to Toruń

From 30^th November to 2^nd December a group of 32 students supervised by headmistress Joanna Wojtynek and teachers Mrs. Magdalena Goraus and Mrs. Agnieszka Gemborys had an opportunity to discover the kujawsko-pomorskie voivodeship within the ‘Discover Poland’ programme. During the first day of the trip the students visited the Space Centre, the Gingerbread Museum and the town square of Toruń. The highlight was the exploration of a 19th century defence building by night. The second day of the trip was devoted to discovering the impressive castle in Malbork. On the last day of the trip the participants visited Włocławek with its beautiful Cathedral, and an archeological reserve in Sarnów.

#SzkolneKlimaty – ‘School vibes’

On 16th November 4 students form 2d1 class under supervision of Mrs. Anna Kęsoń-Firlej took part in hackathon workshops, which were part of the ‘School vibes’ project. The workshops were held in the Europocentrum in Katowice. The participating students tried to work out a solution to the problem of bad air condition in classrooms.  Each of us is responsible for the air we’re breathing!
