Inga’s Gold

A student of our school – Inga Pieczul took the first place in a nationwide competition in air acrobatics. Congrats on your success!

Gold Medals for our Girls

On 4th March our school’s volleyball team won the match against II LO in Tychy and received the title of the Town’s Secondary School Champions of Volleyball.
Congrats to the whole team and big thanks to the opponents, coaches and referees!

Annual Kruczek’s Festival of Science

From 27th February to 1st March the Festival of Science took place in our school for the 8th time already. Our students had the opportunity to participate in various fascinating lectures, inspirational presentations, creative workshops and different types of competitions. Thanks to the wide range of topics covered everybody could find something interesting for themselves. Special thanks to all the outside school guests, teachers and students who were part of this educational and fun event!

Valentine’s Day

In mid February we celebrated St.Valentine’s Day.
On Monday a bake sale was organised by the school voluntary group and everyone was invited to buy something delicious for their valentines.
On Tuesday the students had an opportunity to send Valentine cards or fill out a special Valentine form to find out who their match was.
On Wednesday 3 editions of ‘blind date’ took place. During the event the participants could ask questions to find out about their potential dates and decide which candidate was the most suitable for them.
Great thanks to the School Council for holding the entertaining activities and those who participated in the events.

Nataniel’s gold

In the first week of February the Winter Diving Championship of Poland took place in Rzeszów. One of our students – Nataniel Dynak took first place winning the gold in this competition. Congrats!

Cooperation agreement

On 9th January in Katowice, our school signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Economics. Our school was represented by the head teacher – Joanna Wojtynek and the representative of the University of Economics was prof. hab. dr Sławomir Smyczek. A delegation of 50 students from our school took part in the event.

Declamation Contest

Two students representing our school, Helena Pyrsch of 3d2 and Hanna Hajduk of 1d3, participated      in the English recitation contest ‘Beyond the Horizon’ organised by Pałac Młodzieży in Katowice. Congrats to Helena for taking 3rd place.

Sporting Success of our Maths Teacher

Congratulations to our maths teacher Mr Grzegorz Bartosz for taking the 1st place in the nationwide skiing championship for education workers.

We Still Remember

On 28th January 2003 a deadly avalanche came down the slope of Rysy in the Tatra Mountains and took lives of 7 students of our school and their attendant.
To mark the 20th anniversary of this tragedy a brief commemoration took place by the memorial in our school on 30th January and the following day church services and a concert were held.

 ‘Perspektywy’ 2023 Ranking

Our school, I Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Leona Kruczkowskiego, was announceded the 205th best secondary school in Poland and 19th best in the Silesian Voivodeship in  the XXV  National “Perspektywy” Ranking and received the silver school badge.
