Italian Culture Day

On the 29th May in our school an Italian Culture Day was celebrated. We had invited Emilio Pontillo- a Sicilian, who’s been living in Poland for some time, to tell us how Italians find Poland and which interesting things a Pole can do in Italy.

Filip Albertyński from 2d1 gave a lecture on political system in Italy. We were also able to taste samples of typical Italian cuisine and take part in some games prepared by our Italian teachers.

Erasmus+ in Istanbul

At the beginning of May, a few teachers from our school: Ms. Gemborys, Ms. Pawlik-Pszczółka and Ms. Ścisłowicz participated in an Erasmus+ mobility organised in Istanbul as part of the ‘I GO ECO- respect and care about the Earth’ project. Along with teachers from Barcelona, Siena, Bacău, Sifnos and Istanbul, they took part in activities, lectures and workshops connected with the main topic- ’Environmental Ethics’. Apart from project work, they were able to explore the city as well as the Turkish culture. Unfortunately, this was the last meeting within the Erasmus+ project.

Open Day 2023 in Kruczek

On April 18th Kruczek hosted an open day for those who are interested in becoming part of our community in the new school year. The turnout was really high! We were pleased to show potential students of Kruczek around and answer their questions about school life and classes we are planning to have in 2023/2024.

‘Sporty Kruczek’

On 14th April Kruczek’s students voted for the project within Teen Civil Budget. The project called ‘Sporty Kruczek’ was chosen by the majority of 425 students, whereas the project ‘A breath of resh air in Kruczek’ received 107 votes.  Congratulations to the framers of the winning project!

A trip to Wroclaw

On 13th April a group of volunteers from the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum took part in a trip to Wroclaw, which was a reward for their engagement in the events organised by the Museum. The participants visited the exhibition ‘Mission: Poland’ dedicated to Mr. Jan Nowak-Jezioranski and Mr. Wladyslaw Bartoszewski. They also had a stroll down the charming old town of the city.

Erasmus+ “Women power-rising awareness”

From 26th March to 1st April a group of 5 students from our school together with Mrs Anna Zarmutek and Mrs Anna Kęson-Firlej attended a students exchange organised within the ‘Women power – rising awareness’ project in Czeskie Budziejowice.  Together with participants from Czech Republic, Romania, Turkey and Italy our students took part in various theme lectures and activities. They also had an opportunity to do some sightseeing in Prague and Czeski Krumlov and visit the beautiful Hluboka castle. Sadly, that was the last ‘Women power’ students exchange, but the experience was unforgettable for all the participants.

Cardiological Workshop

Three students of our school,the winners of the school’s cardiological contest – Natalia Górniak, Alicja Łącka and Mateusz Jurek took part in the cardiological workshop in Bielsko-Biała, during which they had a chance to get a closer look at the work of specialists from the Polish-American Heart Clinic.

Nationwide Maths Contest

Two of our students Bartosz Bromblik and Szymon Pawlus represented our school in the Nationwide Maths Contest.

11 contestants form Silesia had qualified for the finals and among them there were  the two students of our school which is a great success.

Congratulations to the boys and their teacher Mr Grzegorz Bartosz. Both of the students received the finalist title and get the maximum score on their Maths matura exams.
We would also like to congratulate Mateusz Gabzdyl from Bielsko-Biała on solving 5 Mathematical problems and taking 1st place in the country.

Meeting Maths

On March 29th 1m and 1d2 students took part in a series of lectures organised by the Marie Curie Skłodowska Secondary School in Katowice. One of the lectures was held by our students – Roksana Piróg, Paulina Strauch, Maja Kłeczek and Marta Helios.
