Today we celebrate World Health Day: we want to thank the doctors for their commitment!

We thank the healthcare workers for their effort, dedication and commitment, especially now in the era of coronavirus!

Today, when the coronavirus epidemic is developing in the world, it is the doctors, paramedics, nurses, technicians, lab technicians, room and other employees of every Polish hospital, clinic and unit – who are on the front line of this fight. That is why we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all healthcare workers, and especially to the medics of Kruczek family

Scientific successes of Agnieszka Czapska

We are happy to announce that Agnieszka Czapska, a 3c1 class student with a biological and chemical profile, has become a finalist of the 49th Biological Olympiad. This is another great success of our pupil, who can boast of many scientific achievements in various language, athematical, chemical, biological and sports competitions and Olympics.

We would like to thank Agnieszka for her effort, dedication and extraordinary determination in achieving the goal.

We would like to thank and congratulate the teachers, and above all Agnieszka’s Parents, without whose support, care and faith in success these achievements would not have been possible.

This year’s high school graduate Piotr Ludynia became the finalist of the 71st Mathematical Olympiad.

Piotr is a student of 3e2 – mathematical and physical class. Since last year he has been pursuing an individual course in mathematics. Many years of student’s work resulted in a great success, which is winning the title of finalist of the Olympiad. This success is more special because – according to the statistics only 7 students from Silesia were in the finals.

Participation in the final of the Mathematical Olympiad gives, of course, the student a grade 6 at the end of the year, 100% in mathematics at the graduation level (basic and extended) and free admission to many faculties of universities, not only in mathematics.

Congratulations to Maciek Nych of 2d2!

On March 11th, at the Small Theatre, the 29th edition of the Voivodeship Art Competition “Young Talents” was finalized.

The event was led by a quartet of entertainers: Milena Batko, Bartosz Leszczyna, Magdalena Sadowska and Jakub Pokrywczyński. After 18 competition performances, the jury went to the meeting, during which the audience watched the performance of the theater group under the direction of Mrs. Monika Szydłowiecka, and then unexpectedly the Young Teachers Cabaret entered the stage.

From 26^th to 27^th February Educational Fair Education-Work-Career took place in our school. The second and third grade students took part in meetings with representatives of several universities.

We were also visited by graduates who ran a workshop ‘About studying exact sciences and engineering’.

Students took part in a meeting with employees of the distinct job centre in Tychy as well as a Campus France representative who told them about studying in France.

On 21^st February we celebrated the International Day Of Mother Tongue. On this occasion we had the pleasure to host Dr. Ewa Ficek, a fellow in the Zakład Lingwistyki i Dyskursu Uniwersytetu Śląskiego, and the president of Stowarzyszenie Przyjaciół Instytutu Języka Polskiego UŚ “Via Lingue”. The 1^st grade students had an opportunity to attend two lectures : ‘Do Tych (Tychów) ze szczebrzeszynianką po nowe lewisy? O nazwach własnych I pospolitych uwag kilka’ and ‘Z polszczyzną za pan brat, czyli o normie, błędach i zwyczaju językowym raz jeszcze’.

Thanks to those lectures, our students could not only enlarge their knowledge on the origins and the original meaning of some Silesian words, but were also able to solve some problems connected with linguistic correctness. Besides, students dealt with the rules of complicated Polish orthography writing a dictation prepared especially for this occasion. We hope that the rules of Polish spelling didn’t cause too much trouble.

On February 25^th, a Carnival Ball was held at our school. Everybody had a fantastic time. A big thank you goes out to Natalia Meller from 1d2n form and Adam Ronkiewicz from 1cen form for the whole idea and pulling it off. Thanks a million for all the fun we had and good vibes.
