On 13^th February our students attended a lecture on the topic of cyber safety. It was delivered by the employees of “Programming Giants”, an institution educating the youth interested in new technologies and programming.

Amongst the topics covered was what threats can occur when using public, but also your own computers and how to protect yourself against them. The lecturers pointed out not only the threats but above all solutions to how to keep your data secured, how to protect yourself from internet stalkers and other problems stemming from online anonymity. A 3D printer and the effects of its work were also presented.

On January 27th, our young people, together with headteacher Joanna Wojtynek and history teacher Natalia Nowak, took part in the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.

The most important participants in these celebrations were prisoners of the Auschwitz camp.

Tomorrow we will celebrate the 17th anniversary of the tragedy in the Tatras.

Nothing indicated that it will be a day that will be so tragically written down in the history of the Tatra Mountains and our school. This was not known to the participants of the expedition, who set off from the Morskie Oko mountain hostel on 28 January 2003 to Rysy. The rescuers who were on duty on that day in the headquarters of the Tatra Mountains Volunteer Rescue Service in Zakopane also did not know, although they wondered many times whether this could have been foreseen?

“Now they’re looking at us from outside the clouds… ”

Someone once, in early February 2003, put a piece of paper with an inscription between the candles burning in front of the school: “In honor of the Young Beauties.” This is how we will remember them all!

On January 28th, 2020 at 11.00 a short ceremony will be held at the school under the plaque commemorating the tragedy in the Tatra Mountains, and at 6.00 p.m. there will be a holy mass at the St. Family Church.

School library invites to take part in a challenge called ‘I’m going to read 52 books in 2020’.

52 is an average number of weeks in a callendar year. That’s one book a week. Thickness and format- discretionary.

No matter the genre. The goal is to broaden  horizons.

We invite all the students and teachers to take part in the 52 Book Challenge PL!

Take the challenge card from the library to make a note of every book read in 2020.

The 22nd Ranking of High Schools Perspektywy 2020 was announced on the www.perspektywy.pl website and on

the Warsaw School of Economics official gala. Our school once again earned the gold shield prize and scored 184th place among all high schools in the country.

Congratulations to us!

Friday 3 January was the Graduate’s Day 🙂 Colourful characters filled the common room where various games and plays were organized. Then they danced the Polonaise 🙂 This year’s high school graduates we wish this year’s high school graduates a wonderful Prom tonight:)

Prize- giving ceremony of President’s of the Council of Ministers scholarship took place

on 19th of December 2019. Our student Agnieszka Czapska was awarded this scholarship.

Back in November our pupils along with 16 thousand students from 25 different countries took part in the ‘Best in English’ competition. We are happy to announce that our third form student Oliwia Świerkot placed 3rd in the world, which is a great accomplishment. She was only short of 0.5 point from the first place, which was earned by an Estonian student. Other students also scored high, for example, Mikołaj Staniczek came 3rd in Poland. Congratulations to everyone, you are the best!

Four of our students were awarded with the “Tyskie Orły” scholarship for 2019/2020. Scholarships were received

by students with athletic accomplishments: Zuzanna Jarlaczyńska in shooting sports, Emilia Słabosz in swimming,

Mateusz Ubowski in ice hockey and Dawid Wiekiera  in swimming.
