“Hopefully I can manage to pass it on”
On 25th October students from 2d1 class took part in a meeting with Ms Maria Stroińska as part of the project “Hopefully I can manage to pass it on” based on the series of meetings with the survivors of Auschwitz organised for the youth.
The meeting took place at the residence of the International Center for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust in Oświęcim.
Ms Maria Stroińska was deported to the Auschwitz concentration camp as a 12-year-old girl from Warsaw engulfed in the uprising in August 1944. In January 1945 she was evacuated to the camp in Blankenburg, where she lived to see the liberation. Just like many other survivors, she meets with the youth, so that the memory about those terrible times doesn’t fade out.
