Tomorrow we will celebrate the 17th anniversary of the tragedy in the Tatras.

Nothing indicated that it will be a day that will be so tragically written down in the history of the Tatra Mountains and our school. This was not known to the participants of the expedition, who set off from the Morskie Oko mountain hostel on 28 January 2003 to Rysy. The rescuers who were on duty on that day in the headquarters of the Tatra Mountains Volunteer Rescue Service in Zakopane also did not know, although they wondered many times whether this could have been foreseen?

“Now they’re looking at us from outside the clouds… ”

Someone once, in early February 2003, put a piece of paper with an inscription between the candles burning in front of the school: “In honor of the Young Beauties.” This is how we will remember them all!

On January 28th, 2020 at 11.00 a short ceremony will be held at the school under the plaque commemorating the tragedy in the Tatra Mountains, and at 6.00 p.m. there will be a holy mass at the St. Family Church.
