School Jubilee

On September 1, 1953, today’s Leon Kruczkowski High School No. 1 in Tychy began its activities. Exactly 70 years ago the first yearbook of students sat in the school’s desks in the old school building on Wolnosci Square – the place where today Primary School No. 1 is located. Three years later in 1956 the high school received a new location on Brzozowa Street.

Years passed, principals and teaching staff changed, successive generations of graduates left the school’s walls, but the same spirit of an extraordinary community still remained. It is it who makes us want to meet again after 70 years, to open the doors of the school not only to graduates, but also to all those who are emotionally connected with our high school. We would like to extend a warm welcome to all guests, especially former and current teachers, within the walls of our school. The hosts of this meeting will be the students and teachers of Kruczek.

We warmly invite you on October 5 and 6, 2023, to attend the seventieth anniversary celebration of our beloved Kruczek.

Italian adventure

On September 17 – 22, classes 3d1 and 3c under the supervision of our teachers Anna Kęsoń-Firlej, Angelika Ostrowska, Jolanta Kaczkowska and Iwona Wrzos-Stefan went on a fantastic Italian trip 😊 We visited Verona, Milan, the charming towns of Sirmione and Malcesine on Lake Garda, and took a trip on the Italian railroad along the beautiful towns of the Cinque Terre! All accompanied by pasta, pizza and espresso 😊The Italian adventure is over but we are already planning the next one…❤️ CIAO!!!

4d1 and 4d2 in London

Trips in the new school year began with a trip of classes 4d1 and 4d2 to London. From September 3-9, the students of the graduating classes, together with their teachers: Anna Zarmutek, Anita Bartosz, Agnieszka Pyrsch and Natalia Nowosad visited London, Oxford and Canterbury.

The program included such places as Buckingham Palace, Parliament, Windsor, the Tower of London fortress, Tower Bridge, Oxford Street, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery, the British Museum, the districts of Soho, Covent Garden, and Chinatown.

We crossed to the British Isles by ferry, and on the way back by Eurotunnel.

The weather and moods were great 😎☀️ We bring back with us a lot of memories and knowledge of the culture of English-speaking countries 😊

Welcome back 🙂

The headmistress welcomed teachers and students – those already members of the Kruczek school community and those newly admitted to the school – after a holiday rest. She wished all of them many educational successes and encouraged them to actively participate in school events, including the upcoming school Jubilee on October 6.

The 84th anniversary of the start of World War II was commemorated with a history lesson prepared by history teacher Ms. Lucyna Staniczek and student Filip Albertyński.

On September 1, we also commemorated the anniversary of the death of the school’s first principal, Franciszek Teper, a participant in the September campaign, who is buried in the cemetery in Wartoglowiec. And on September 4, a delegation of students laid flowers at the school’s memorial plaque to our principal.

The inauguration of the school year was honored with a performance by the Kruczkowska Artistic Group.

School breaks up for summer holiday

On 23 rd of June we celebrated the long awaited last day of school. School reports were given out, many students were rewarded with a book or a trophy and congratulated on their excellent school and/or sports performance.

We also said goodbye to the teachers who have decided  to retire or just stopped working in Kruczek.

School Trips in full swing

In May and June, a lot of school trips were organised. Just before the summer holiday, different classes visited Wrocław, The Bieszczady Mountains, Prague and Pszczyna. The students were able to explore new places and share some enjoyable moments at the same time.
