A New Class for Ukrainian Students

April 4th is the first day of school for our friends from Ukraine.

To welcome the students a new classroom had been arranged and school starter kits made.

The whole school community are looking forward to meeting you and making you feel at home.

Schoolbag-Free Day

This year April 1st, known as All Fools’ Day was marked in Kruczek as schoolbag-free day.

Students’ creativity turned out endless. Among many other surprising ideas for coursebooks’ containers,

pots, coolboxes, tyres, pet transporters, doll strollers, electric kettles, a remote-controlled car and even

a piece of furniture could be seen!

It was definitely a fun day for all of us!

Supporting Ukraine

The recent events in Ukraine made our school community, students, parents and teachers alike, willing to offer our support for the people suffering from the war. We started by collecting the most necessary articles of clothing, food products, cosmetics, cleaning products as well as medicines. All the items collected were transported safely to the city of Lvov by one of the parents from our school.

That’s not all our students decided to do to help. Blue and yellow ribbons symbolising the colours of the Ukrainian flag were made by the students from 2d2 and 2e and will be sold soon. During the next four days (from Friday till Wednesday) we are having a bake sale to collect money for Ukraine. The money will be given to charity organisations in Tychy to help refugees who are currently staying in our city.

Pedagogical and Psychological Counselling Centre in Tychy offers support to families coming to Tychy from Ukraine. The meetings will take place in the Centre in 16 Anders Street on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Well done Maja!

We are proud to announce that Maja Żmuda is the silver medalist in judo in the Junior Championships in Poland. Thanks to her successful performance she has qualified for the Polish Youth Olympics.

iGO ECO in Siena

At the beginning of February six students and their teachers Ms Agnieszka Gemborys and Ms Lucyna Kałek took part in a student exchange in Siena. It was part of the Erasmus+ project “iGO ECO – Respect and Care about the Earth” in cooperation with partner schools from Greece, Spain, Romania, Turkey and Italy. Erasmus+ students participated in many activities, workshops and lectures connected with the main theme of the project, i.e. renewable resources. They also got the chance to do some sightseeing in Siena, Florence and Rome, but most importantly, it was a great opportunity to make new friends. They are looking forward to the next Erasmus+ meeting in Barcelona in May 2022.

Many students got qualified to the next stage of Olimpiada Przedmiotowa and had significant sport achievements outside school.

‘The Air You Breathe’ competition winners

Form 1d1 students guided by Mrs Anna Kęsoń-Firlej and Mrs Iwona Wrzos-Stefan prepared memes about air pollution and won the competition  #schoolatmosphere-improve the atmosphere of your class!

The initiative is the first project in Poland that aims at improving the air in the clessrooms.

Greetings from Żabnica

Form 1e students and the form teacher sent greetings from their absolutely fantastic two-day-school trip in Żabnica.

Meetings with school graduates

A series of meetings with Kruczek graduates started today.

This month, form 3 students are to meet the school graduates, either online or in person to find out  what it is like to be a university student, what the recruitment process is about and what changes there are in the graduate job market.

19 Days Campaign

From November 1st to November 19th our school participates in the 19 Days Campaign against violence and childfren & youth’s abuse.

1d1 form students together with their form teacher have made a film about the campaign.
