Silesian Trip for Grade 2d

On February 11th, the 2d class went on a trip to Katowice.

The first activity on the program was a bowling alley, where everyone had a great time, and the competition proved to be very exciting. Next, the group went to the Silesian Museum, where they participated in a lessons titled “The Heritage of Upper Silesia” and “Analysis of a Painting.” During the first lesson, the students learned about the history and culture of the region, its traditions, and its transformations over the years. In the second lesson, using examples from 19th-century paintings, the students learned how to analyze a painting and what aspects to pay attention to when interpreting works of art. After the museum session, the group took a walk around the city and spent time together at a restaurant, where they could relax and enjoy pizza together. At the end of the day, the class visited the Silesian Theatre, where they saw the musical performance “Skazany na Bluesa,” inspired by the life and work of Rysiek Riedel, lead singer of the band “Dżem.” The performance was engaging and moving, making a profound impression on the students.

The day ended quite late for the group, but we don’t think anyone regretted it, even though they had to get up early for school on Thursday.
