5th December Thematic Symposium of the Institute of Physics

On December 11th, class 2e had the pleasure of participating in the 5th December Thematic Symposium of the Institute of Physics at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Silesia in Chorzów.

The 4-hour symposium consisted of four stages: “Let’s go quantum, or a quantum computer for everyone,” “Quantum computing: From testing the multiverse to a tech revolution – lecture in English,” “Schroedinger’s cats in gravitational wave defects,” and “Quantum LEGO bricks – exploring the world of photons while having fun.”

The class had the opportunity to listen to Maria Violaris, a quantum physicist and respected science popularizer who specializes in quantum physics and quantum computing and holds a PhD from the University of Oxford.
