Cardiology workshop

Once again, students of our school had the opportunity to participate in cardiology and cardiac surgery workshops held at the cardiology and cardiac surgery departments of the American Heart of Poland Group in Bielsko-Biała. Two students of class 4c – Julia Bazak and Laura Głuszak – took part in the fifth edition of the workshop. The students developed their medical interests under the watchful eye of the workshop’s author, Professor Krzysztof Milewski, MD, director of the Polish-American Heart Clinics in Bielsko-Biala. Young medical enthusiasts at the workshop were able to, among other things, try their hand at a surgical suturing course, perform heart echo examinations and use a laparoscopic examination simulator, and even observe bypass surgery live.

We want to thank the professor for such a valuable initiative. The professor passes on to young people not only skills, but also values related to ethics and concern for patients’ health. It is these types of projects, among others, that shape the future generation of doctors.
