On Friday, November 10, class 2d2 (mat-geo) went to the Silesian Planetarium.
There we participated in a two-class didactic session, which took place in the Planetarium Hall. During the screening we recalled and learned what governs the movements of the planets in the Solar System, how to measure distances in the Universe, where to look for distant galaxies. We also visited one of the Science Park’s exhibits. Geophysics is an interactive exhibit that shows phenomena related to seismology and meteorology. We were able to experience a simulated earthquake, create tremors that were recorded by sensitive seismometers, we proved ourselves as weather presenters, and in the climate rooms we traveled from the Arctic Circle to the equator.
The students were supervised by educator Anna Łęszczak and Ms. Agnieszka Drong.
